I can't believe it has been almost a year since I have posted anything on Xanga.  That is completely ridiculous.  I am entirely too bored right now, because I am working...on a Saturday night nonetheless.  Can you believe it!  I'm making sure no one burns the building down at this wedding they are having at my office building. 

I also can't believe that Carys already had her one year birthday.  Yikes!! 

So, these are the new colors that we painted our guest room/office.  Well, the walls are the blue color and then we have some red accents.  Do you like?

Not much else going on in these parts.  Hmm, that must be why I haven't posted anything on here.  My life has gotten really boring, or just really busy....probably a mixture of both.  Oh, well, Carys is wonderful, so I wouldn't trade it for the world.  I know, it's cliche, but true nonetheless. 

I did get to go to Olive Garden with some girl friends last night.  That was just lovely.  I haven't eaten out in so long, because I have been on a new healthy diet for about a month now.  It's working out quite well, but I have to say I have been craving McDonald's lately. 

Carys has started getting into cartoons.  Some of them are absolutely ridiculous.  Who comes up with this stuff!!  An example of this is a show called the Doodlebops.  Recently we were at a friends house when it came on and someone said that it must be what it looks like if you were at a concert and on acid.  Seems about right.  There is one cartoon that is super duper cute about these two British kids.  It's called Charlie and Lola.  I think I like it more than Carys.  It's right up there with Recess, which is the other best cartoon that has been made somewhat recently.  I'm not sure if that is on the air anymore, though.  I'll have to Tivo it and find out.

She arrived on September 1st at 1:12 in the morning.  I guess that means she'll be the absolute oldest one in her class once she is school age.  I'm not sure if that's good or bad....

Anyway, she weighed 9 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. 

She had her one month doctor appointment on October 5th and she weighed 11 pounds, 2 ounces and was 21 inches long.  She looks a month older than some other babies that I've seen that are a month old.  It's crazy!  She's still tiny, though. 

We're having a lot of fun now, but those first few weeks were definitley tough and not very fun.

So, life has been interesting since my last post.  Well, actually it's been kinda boring.  I have been so sick that I have basically just sat at home for the past two weeks.  I developed pregnancy rash, which only affects one percent of pregnant women....I'm so lucky!  It basically feels like you have poison ivy over your entire body.  It's been really fun.  It started the week before Matt's birthday and got really bad on his actual birthday (Aug 13), during his 30th birthday party. 

Anyway, it got under control the following week, but then I developed a very bad cold the next weekend due to my immune system being suppressed from the steroids they were giving me to get the rash under control.  So, I spent that week in bed fighting off the cold.  Then, just as the cold got better, the rash came back, so I hadn't slept at all since Wednesday night.  But it suddenly got better yesterday afternoon and I was able to get a few hours of sleep that afternoon and last night.  Thank God for small miracles!! 

So, I will definitely be having a baby on Wednesday (8/31), as they have scheduled me to be induced that morning.  Yeah!!  Of course, it could take until the next day, but I am hoping she will actually be delivered on Wednesday. 

So, that's why I haven't answered any e-mails lately or been on Instant Messenger.  I'm sure you were up nights wondering what had happened to me. 

I can't believe it!!  I have only 3 weeks before my due date.  I don't know wether I should hope she gets here before her due date, so that she will be smaller and hopefully the deliver will be easier (Yikes!), or wether I should hope that she waits a little longer so that I can enjoy good sleep as long as possible.  I guess it doesn't really matter, because I can't do anything about it anyway.  Oh, well. 

I am excited to meet her!  It's crazy to think that I'm going to have a daughter in just a few short weeks.  How weird is that?  Probably not as weird as Matt having a daughter.
